3	Library Basics cont. Checkout Procedures 2 books at a time, 5 books total 3 week checkout period 10 cents per day for overdue books Id Card needed to checkout a book
4	ALL STUDENTS MUST SIGN IN During Classtime WHY? Statistics on library usage Safety—who is here in case of an emergency A regulars list for first, seventh and study hall will be created to speed up the sign in process
5	NO FOOD or DRINK WHY? Rats Cleanliness Damage to books and equipment Exception—Plain Water NO flavored waters which contain sugars and dyes that attract pests
6	NO CELL PHONES WHY? School Policy—Behavior for Learning Noise and disruption This includes using it for pictures, games, calculators etc.
7	Computers School work Classes have priority Login to use See lab white board for instructions Mr. Smith (room 156) is the only one to help with login problems. Follow Acceptable Use Policy
8	Behaviors for Learning All the school rules apply to the library during 1^st through 7^th periods I-pods (other musical devices) or cell phones should not be seen Respect Property Use respectful language Do your own work and value your academic integrity

10	"IF YOU CANNOT ABIDE BY..." IF YOU CANNOT ABIDE BY THESE POLICIES, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN THE LIBRARY. You may sleep in if you have no 1^st You may go home at the end of 6^th period if you have no 7^th The student lunch room is open 1^st & 7^th
