History

Aragon Football has enjoyed a storied tradition of excellence. In the last 36 years, the Dons have reached the CCS playoffs 30 times, won 12 league championships, and 2 section titles. While we are proud of our impressive accomplishments we pride ourselves on providing Aragon student-athletes with an enriching and memorable experience that is often the highlight of their high school career. Steve Sell has been the head varsity coach since 2000 and Steve Henderson has been the JV coach since 1992. This continuity has been a major reason why Aragon has enjoyed such consistent success. 

Safe Approach to Football

The Aragon coaching staff has coached the "rugby style" approach to tackling since 2008. The main goal of utilizing the rugby tackle is to remove the head from the tackle and to prevent players from suffering head injuries. In addition, Aragon is fortunate to belong to a school district that provides the best protective equipment on the market and an athletic trainer on the sideline of every practice and game where there is any contact.
