What to expect:
Bell Schedule Updates:
The first three weeks of school have passed by quickly, and students are settling into their routines. We are still working through some glitches with our new PA and Bell system on campus, but expect to have it fixed quickly. In good news, the sound in the stadium is in good working condition and was enjoyed by a large audience of students and community members last Friday night at our first home football game of the year. Go Dons!
Behavior Reminders: By the end of Monday, August 29th, the Administrative Team will have met with all grade levels to discuss the use of FlexTime, remind students of the Aragon CARES Behavioral Expectations, and review safety and emergency campus procedures. We are looking forward to a safe and connected school year!
Parking Lots & Drop-Off: Thank you for working with us on our parking and drop-off situation in the mornings. As I explained to our new families, we have a unique situation where staff and students park in the upper and main lots - and making their way through the lots can be treacherous in the mornings when accompanied by drop-off drive-throughs. Please keep in mind that our student drivers are NEW drivers, needing a little more time and space to make driving and parking decisions. Removing the drop-off line from these areas makes it a little easier for our students and staff to navigate the act of parking AND walk through the lot with fewer cars rolling through.
Back to School Night - Thursday, September 1 @ 6pm: We are looking forward to hosting Back to School Night this week! Please work with your student to get their class schedule in advance.
What to expect:

Service Commissioners will be available on campus and in the hallways with maps and other information to help parents & guardians find their student’s classrooms.

Teachers have prepared presentations to families to provide an overview of their courses along with their contact information.

Parents & Guardians with questions about their individual students should be prepared to speak with teachers at another time - this evening is about getting to know the program and does not allow time for individual consultation with teachers.

The evening will end promptly at 8pm so teachers may go home and rest before the next day of school. Thank you for helping us with this!
