Aragon Drama
Aragon High School Drama strives to be a welcoming space for students to explore self-expression through the arts of acting and technical theater. Shane Smuin, Aragon’s Director of Theater, believes that theater is a conservatory: a safe space where self-expression and personal growth is cultivated, encouraged, and developed.
In Aragon’s Beginning Drama class, students begin the process of self-expression through theater games, monologues, scenes, published plays, and original projects. In Advanced Drama, students deepen their understanding through advanced improvisational work, and classical monologues and scripts. In Technical Theater, students learn the skills and techniques for the creation of scenic design, lighting design, and sound design for Aragon Performing Arts’ main stage productions.
