Student Equity Council

Aragon’s Student Equity Council (ASEC) is an outgrowth of the district’s Youth Catalyst Liberatory Leadership (YCLL) leadership group. ASEC is composed of student representatives from each class, freshman through senior, who apply at the start of the Fall semester. 
 

Members meet a few times a month to work on student-identified equity issues on campus and in our community. 

The 2025-2026 council has identified the following areas of equity concern to focus its work on:

• Student Driving Scholarships (financial equity)

• Student Nutrition (dietary equity)

• Sports access (gender equity)

• Student experience (mental health)

Members are expected to participate in an all-day training in the fall and spring. 

Applications for the 2026-2027 school year will be available May 2026.
